Our Vineyard

Unique Dry Wines & Sustainable Farming

The best wines come from the best vineyard practices. It takes 3 to 5 years to begin the winemaking process. We want to make wines that showcase the terroir of the geography, micro-climate, and rich soils along the banks of the tidal Squamscott River. Some wines need to be aged to bring out the best properties. Aging enhances the flavor compounds, tannins and acids to produce a well-balanced wine. Other wines, typically white, nicely display the aromatic, floral and fruit forward characteristics of the varietals we chose.

Our French-hybrid vines were chosen for their unique properties. We are able to grow cool climate varietals that are more resistant to mold and mildew and can survive our winters.
